FAQ - Frequently asked questionsn

Who or what is IRISA?

Irisa is the name of an enterprise specialising in the teaching of the German language.

I am the tutor. My name is Iris Reichert, and I live here in Eisenach. After my education to be a bilingual secretary, I have worked as a teacher of German in the adult education system for more than 8 years. Over the years I have attended several language schools abroad to update and improve my knowledge of English. I aim to offer you a positive and pleasant learning experience.

So:

  • My groups are really small.
  • My seminar guests are accompanied by myself during the whole day and they are learning together.
  • I am combining theory and practice to enable you to find your way in daily life in Germany.
  • In my courses you are also learning more about culture and history of Thuringia, the green heart of Germany.

Do you need a certain level in German to attend the Irisa Learn and Holiday Experience?

  • The course has been designed for people who want to get to know Germany but do not speak German sufficiently.
  • I will help you to gain basic knowledge for general communication situations – so you do not need to be well grounded in German.
  • Participants with a little previous knowledge or with proper knowledge but lack of practice will definitely make the most progress.

Can your friends and you book as a group?

  • Yes, you may attend my seminar together with your friends or family members if the date you wish to come is still available.

How do you get to Eisenach?

  • Eisenach is located almost exactly in the middle of Germany and is reachable by ICE trains from every big city in Germany at almost every hour.
  • So connections to the largest airports in Germany, for instance Frankfurt/Main, München and Berlin, are easily accessible.
